Brazil has seen an 8.4% increase in the volume of slaughtered beef cattle between January and June 2023 compared to the same period in 2022. This reflects the investments made in beef cattle farming between 2020 and 2021. However, domestically, there are challenges in the market, such as low purchasing power for segments of the population and increased levels of indebtedness. This has led to drops in retail prices for beef, but caution is needed to avoid oversupply and maintain marketing margins.
