Paraguay: Beef shipments in 2022 point to a new record

According to the records of the National Animal Health and Quality Service (Senacsa), 2021 closed with 326,698 tons of beef exported, which generated USD 1,598.9 million, which remains the historical record for red protein shipments. At this rate, 2022 would exceed that figure and set a new record, since just one month before the end of this year, our country already exported 305,092 tons of bovine meat for USD 1,578.4 million. In this sense, the president of Senacsa, Dr. José Carlos Martin, mentioned to the IP News Agency that he estimates that 2022 will end with 330,000 tons of exported beef and a foreign exchange income that would exceed USD 2,000 million, thus fulfilling the main objective set by the institution this year.
