In 2022, Santa Catarina, Brazil, saw a 4.1% increase in pork exports over the previous year, reaching a record high. The state exported 602,400 tons, generating revenues of US$1.43 billion, a 2.5% increase from 2021. Santa Catarina contributed significantly to Brazil's pork exports, accounting for 54.8% of the volume and 56.3% of the value. Despite a decrease in purchases from China, the Philippines and Japan saw significant growth in Santa Catarina's pork exports to these countries.
