The Brazilian Special Coffees Association (BSCA) highlighted the importance of the meeting between the presidents of the United States, Donald Trump, and Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, held this Sunday (26), in Malaysia. In a statement, the entity said that the meeting represents a concrete possibility of a solution for the tariffs applied to the coffee sector. The expectation is that the measure will create conditions for the two countries to overcome trade barriers and advance on agendas aimed at strengthening the partnership in the specialty coffee segment. The United States is the main destination for Brazilian exports of specialty coffees, with about 2 million bags per year and revenue exceeding $550 million.
