The sector managed to ship 2,249 containers, equivalent to 39,102 net tons and US$ 99.3 million in FOB value, which represents a consolidation of the country as a key global supplier. The average export price was around US$ 2.54 per kilo and, in total, 9.5 million commercial units were sent abroad. The growth was mainly driven by sea transport, whose shipments grew by 38% and represented 99% of the total volume. Meanwhile, land shipments fell by 11%, while air shipments, although marginal, soared by 157%, reflecting a greater logistical diversification.
