Turkey: Carob seeds were distributed to farmers

Carob saplings were distributed to farmers in the Kumluca district of Antalya. Within the scope of the project carried out by the Antalya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the Kumluca District Directorate, carob seedlings were distributed for planting in an area of 12 decares. The saplings were distributed by the teams of Kumluca Agriculture and Forestry District Manager İsa Akşit and Kumluca Chamber of Agriculture President Hidayet Kökce, Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. Kumluca Agriculture and Forestry District Manager İsa Akşit said, "As part of the evaluation of marginal agricultural lands, today we distribute saplings to 12 farmers in our Kumluca district for the production of carob on an area of 80 decares.
