The Hungarian fish production, fish farming, and fishing sector are facing challenges due to inflation and drought, leading the Hungarian National Fishing Association and the Hungarian Aquaculture and Fisheries Interprofessional Organization to establish an upper price limit for this year's fish stocks. Prices for carp and bream have been set, and purchases above these prices cannot be accepted in the support system. The association is also offering support to smaller fishing associations for the exclusive planting of market carp. The autumn tender procurement for fish can be completed until April 30, 2023, and the call for subsidy tenders will be published on the association's website by September 15. The organization is working on further measures to mitigate damage in collaboration with the Chamber of Agriculture.
