The Polish Karp Producers Organization is launching a campaign to promote the consumption of carp, a traditional Christmas dish in Poland, throughout the year. Carp has been bred in Poland for 800 years and is rich in health benefits, including being a good source of protein, iron, zinc, and collagen. The organization, which represents about 80 professional aquaculture entities, aims to optimize the breeding and sale of carp in the country. However, the price of carp may increase due to rising grain prices, which account for 60% of fish production costs.
