Sugar beet production is around 1.26 MT in Casablanca-Settat, Morocco

The sugar beet sector has demonstrated its performance, despite the climatic conditions marked by a serious rainfall deficit and a low level of water allocated to the irrigated perimeter for this campaign. During the 2019-2020 crop year, sugar beet production in the Casablanca-Settat region is around 1,260,000 tonnes, far exceeding forecasts for an estimated harvest of 1,130,000 tonnes. In fact, the root yield of this agricultural product is based on 70 tonnes / ha.
