In the national scenario, Ceará occupied the third position in the ranking of states with the highest number of hot spots in the period (PHOTO: Soldado Fernandes/Bombeiros) Ceará ended the month of November 2025 with the highest number of hot spots ever recorded for the period since 2005, according to data analyzed by the Ceará Foundation for Meteorology and Water Resources (Funceme). The information is based on daily detections from the AQUA satellite, used as the reference satellite in monitoring these events in Brazilian territory. The trend analysis is carried out from a consistent historical series, dating back to June 1998, allowing for the identification of occurrence patterns and variations over the years. The records between January 1, 2020, and November 30, 2025, show a significant increase in hot spots in Ceará, especially in the last months of the year.
