Certification has ensured the purity of buffalo milk and its derivatives for 21 years in Brazil

The Seal of Purity that the Brazilian Association of Buffalo Breeders (ABCB) grants to dairy products that exclusively use buffalo milk in the production of their derivatives is completing 21 years. The certification offers the consumer the guarantee of purchasing at retail, for example, the real mozzarella cheese, in the same way as it has been manufactured in its cradle, Italy, for over 500 years – with pure buffalo milk. In constant evolution in its trajectory, which began in 2000 and has now entered its third decade, the ABCB “100% Buffalo Seal” program submits milk samples from accredited dairy products for analysis by a highly credible institution, founded in 1905 : the Animal Science Institute (IZ), linked to the São Paulo Agribusiness Technology Agency, of the São Paulo State Department of Agriculture and Supply.
