Brazilian chicken meat exports hit a record high of 420.9 thousand tons in January 2023, a 20.6% increase from the same period last year, with total export revenue reaching US$ 856.6 million, a 38.9% increase from January 2022. China was the main importer, followed by Japan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the European Union. The demand for Brazilian chicken meat has increased due to supply pressure from Avian Influenza in other regions. Despite the revenue increase, high production costs could impact future sales.
