Brazil: Chicken performance (live and slaughtered) in the 48th week of 2022, moving from November to December

In the 48th week of 2022, moving from November to December, the prices of slaughtered chicken continued to fall, ending the period with an average value close to 1% lower than that of a week before, this meaning a reduction close to 5% in relation to price peak of the month. In any case, the new period (December) began with a slight increase (about 1%) in 30 days, a fact that had not occurred in 2021, when the initial quotation for the month was 13% below that registered on the 1st of November (recalling, in 2021 the year ended with an average value 2.32% lower than in November and the weakest performance of the second semester). This is why the current December is starting with an apparent gain of 12.36% in relation to the same month last year. In other words: there is no gain, the values of a year ago have plummeted.
