Chicken market prices in Brazil remained largely stable on Thursday, with a slight recovery from the high prices seen earlier in March. However, the internal market is facing challenges in passing on price increases to consumers, according to Cepea/Esalq. In São Paulo, the farm poultry price remained stable at R$5.00/kg, while chicken wholesale fell by 0.45% to R$6.57/kg. Live chicken prices in São Paulo were not reported, with stable prices in Santa Catarina at R$ 4.29/kg and a decrease of 0.61% in Paraná to R$ 4.89/kg. The prices for frozen and cooled chicken also remained unchanged at R$ 7.30/kg each.
