Chile's citrus fruit exports are expected to see a significant increase in the 2025 production season, with preliminary estimates projecting a rise to about 444,000 tons, according to the Chilean Fruit Association. This includes a 32% increase in tangerines and clementines, a 25% rise in clementines, and a 6% bump in lemons. However, the export volume of Fukumoto navel oranges is expected to decrease by 18%. The increase in citrus fruits is attributed to expected cold winter temperatures and abundant spring rainfall, which are expected to improve fruit setting rates. The association plans to promote Chilean citrus fruits, including citrus, clementines, lemons, and oranges, in the United States and lemons in Japan through various campaigns and seminars.
