Chile sets new plum export record

In 2022, Chile surpassed its own world record for plum exports set in 2019, EastFruit analysts report. Chilean fruit exporters shipped 158,000 tons of plums worth 221 million euros to foreign markets in 2022. In terms of volume, exports increased by a third during the year, surpassing the previous record set in 2019 by 3,000 tonnes. Chile has thus secured its leading position in plum exports.
