In the first two months of 2022, Chilean fruit exports saw a 5% decrease in volume but a 4% increase in value, totaling 645 thousand tons and US$ 2,328 million respectively. The majority of the value, 90.9%, was from fresh fruit, with cherries and blueberries being the top exports. Table grapes also saw a significant decrease in both volume and value. Dried fruits, primarily shelled walnuts and almonds, made up 1% of the total value. Processed fruits such as juices, oils, preserves, and frozen fruit also contributed to the exports, with a notable increase in sales of 79% and 25% for oils and dehydrated products respectively. The United States, Mexico, Japan, Australia, and Canada were the main buyers for various fruits and products.
