Brazil: Cocoa bean grinding in February is stable

Volume processed by industries in the period was 17,484 tons, while receipts fell by 24% The crushing of cocoa beans by the processing industries installed in Brazil was practically stable in February, according to a survey of data carried out by SindiDados – Campos Consultores and released by the National Association of Cocoa Processing Industries (AIPC). In all, 17,484 tonnes were processed, compared to 18,570 tonnes in January. If compared to February 2021, when 17,524 tons were processed, the volume also remains stable. In the first two months of the year, the crushing volume reached 36,054 tons, compared to 37,785 tons in the same period last year. The receipt in February registered a slight decrease in relation to January, of 24.4%, closing the period at 8,904 tons against 11,791 tons.
