Van Rooyen (44) is currently the managing director of WoningBouwersNL, an association of housing construction specialists. Before that, he worked as a legal expert for real estate agents' association NVM and construction employers' association NVB. Van Rooyen studied law at Leiden University and lives in Rijswijk. The incoming LTO director will start on June 1. He states that he is highly motivated to commit himself to the Dutch agriculture and horticulture sectors. "A sector that is of unique value in terms of societal significance and economic power," says Van Rooyen.
