The demand for organic black cumin oil produced in the Bucak district of BURDUR, Turkey, has increased during the pandemic, both domestically and internationally. The region, which accounts for 25% of Turkey's black cumin production, has seen an expansion in cultivation areas and a shift to organic methods. The Bucak Chamber of Agriculture is working to maintain quality and is pursuing a geographical indication registration certificate for the product. Despite increased planting areas, a decrease in yield is expected this year due to drought.
