The cracked hazelnut problem in Turkish Grain Board has been resolved. TMO increased the crack rate. Turkish Grain Board had determined the rate of cracked hazelnuts as 5 percent this season. Especially in oily and plump hazelnuts, natural cracks occur. TMO was sending the producers back, arguing that there were cracks in the hazelnut.
