The situation at the farm of the Professional High School of Veterinary Medicine in Dobrich is critical. The danger is related to the feeding of the animals, which now has to be done manually, alarms the director of the educational institution, Daniela Stankova. The school's farm raises 47 cows and calves. "We constantly have births, the last two calves were born two weeks ago," reported the school's manager. "We are in a deadlock situation. The equipment on the farm has broken down and is no longer usable. We were servicing the cows with only one very old, broken tractor, second-hand, and one excavator, but everything is out of order," explains Daniela Stankova. The tractor has a broken coupling and cannot be transported to a service center or repaired on-site due to structural barriers such as additionally mounted forks for hay bales.
