Feed prices for milk production have increased by 60-70% in the last six months, leading to higher costs for animal husbandry. The coronavirus pandemic already caused a decrease in consumption and fewer dairy product sales, followed by a significant increase in crop prices. However, from January 1, processors in Hungary are paying a higher price per liter of milk to farmers, with further increases promised in March. Challenges such as rising inflation, increased minimum wage, and finding a loyal workforce for milk production are ongoing concerns for producers.
