The article highlights the significant increase in the price of sterilized milk and its derivatives in Morocco, with UHT milk now costing between 11 and 12 DH/L, due to economic factors such as high fuel prices and the doubling of imported milk powder prices. This situation is negatively impacting farmers and breeders. In response, the Moroccan government has suspended customs duties and VAT on milk powder imports, and reduced customs duties on imported cattle. The government is also taking steps to combat unregulated milk sales channels and to reorient national production towards the dairy industry.
