Dried tomato exports of Turkey has increased to 97 million dollars

According to the information compiled from the data of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association, the export of dried tomatoes, which was 83 million dollars in 2020, increased by 17 percent last year. While the export amount of dried tomatoes was 31,2 thousand tons in the previous year, the amount increased by 18 percent to 36,8 thousand tons in 2021. This product, which is demanded by the food industry especially due to its use in pizza and pasta, was exported to 106 countries. While the USA, Italy and Germany took the first three places in foreign sales, the Netherlands, Belgium, Australia, France and Poland were among the countries with the highest demand for Turkish dried tomatoes.
