Drought and cold hit pistachios in Turkey

The harvest of pistachios, known as 'green gold' in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, has reached the stage of completion. Gaziantep Chambers of Agriculture Provincial Coordination President Cuma Yiğit noted that this year, there has been a 40 percent decrease in yield due to drought and cold weather, and they expect 125 thousand tons of harvest in the region.
