Egypt's wheat production is projected to increase to 9.2 million tons for the 2024-2025 period, up from 8.87 million tons the previous year, due to government incentives, higher yields, and increased incentives for farmers. Despite this increase, Egypt will still need to import 12.5 million tons of wheat, marking an 11.4% increase from the previous forecast. The country also expects to see a 250% increase in wheat flour exports to Africa and the Middle East between January and May 2024.
