Brazil: Embrapa Amapá inaugurates system to reuse water in aquaculture experiments

The system was implemented with amendment resources from Congresswoman Aline Gurgel. Embrapa Amapá inaugurates this Friday, 10/15, at 10 am, at the institution's headquarters in Macapá (AP), a model unit for the treatment of effluents (waste of feed and feces) and a water recirculation system to serve experiments cultivation of tambaqui, pirarucu, tracajá and Amazon shrimp. The structure was financed with resources from the parliamentary amendment of the federal deputy Aline Gurgel (Republicanos/AP) in the amount of R$ 80 thousand. The system is an innovative technological model that uses, in addition to the decantation box, mechanical filters, biological filters and filters with fluidized beds, which accelerate the treatment of fish farm effluents in the experiments.
