Spain: ENESA extends the term to subscribe the insurance for pomegranate until May 6

The State Entity of Agricultural Insurance, ENESA, has extended until May 6, 2022 the term to subscribe the Insurance for Loquat and other Fruit trees for the cultivation of Pomegranate for the main insurance of modules 1, 2 and P in the Valencian Community and in the Region of Murcia. In principle, the contracting period for this insurance modality ended on April 30, but the sector has asked ENESA for an extension of the term since the weather conditions of this campaign have caused a delay in the phenological state of the crop that makes it difficult to adequate fixation of the production to be insured. With the extension of the subscription period, it will be easier for farmers who wish to take advantage of this insurance to cover their production against climatic adversities, taking into account the current circumstances of the crop.
