Almost 80% of Brazilian honey production is destined for the United States. However, the 50% tariff on the country's exports to the North American market makes business unfeasible. According to the executive director of Apidouro, João Messas, the restriction drastically affects small producers and puts the competitiveness of the national sector at risk.
