Iran's agriculture minister, Javad Sadati-Nejad, has emphasized the importance of establishing a bee research institute in Khansar, Isfahan province, a major hub of the country's honey production. The government has supported beekeepers with over $500,000 in facilities since the current administration took office and has a five-year plan to improve honey production. Iran exports honey to several countries, including China, Bahrain, and Germany, and is working to expand its beekeeping industry to include other bee secretions.
