EU countries took the lead in Turkey's hazelnut exports last year

According to the information compiled by AA correspondent from the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), Turkey's exports increased by 32.9 percent last year compared to 2020 and reached 225 billion 367.7 million dollars. Turkey's hazelnut and its products exports increased by 16.6% in 2021 compared to 2020 and reached 2 billion 260.7 million dollars. The hazelnut and its products sector received a share of 1 percent from the total exports in the said period. The 5 countries to which the hazelnut and its products sector exported the most in 2021 were Germany, Italy, France, Poland and the Netherlands, respectively. Thus, all of the 5 countries to which Turkey's hazelnut and products sector exports the most were EU countries.
