In the fourth quarter of 2025, the average price of agricultural output received by EU farmers at the farm gate decreased by 1.9% compared with the same quarter in 2024, according to agricultural price indices published by Eurostat . By contrast, the average price of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture — inputs not related to investment, such as energy, fertilisers and feedingstuffs — was unchanged compared with the fourth quarter of 2024, having remained relatively stable throughout 2025.
