This decline was largely due to a 40% reduction in imports from China, the largest market, which fell from 2,574,644 tons in 2021 to 1,541,892 tons in 2022. Other countries like Hong Kong also cut their imports by nearly half. However, exports to the United Kingdom, Japan, and the Philippines experienced slight increases.
