Russia is projected to require over 40 million tons of compound feed in 2025 due to the expected growth in livestock and poultry, according to Vyacheslav Butkovsky, President of the International Industrial Academy. Despite economic challenges, the compound feed market in Russia is growing, with a 5% increase in 2024. Domestic production is currently meeting most of the market's needs, with poultry and pig feed being the main consumption categories. There is also a need to increase the production of fish feed, as current production only covers 15-20% of the market, with most of it being imported. The Union of Feed Manufacturers of the Russian Federation anticipates reaching a production of 39 million tons in 2025, with potential to reach almost 45 million tons with existing capacities. The industry is encouraged to increase exports.
