In January 2022, Bulgaria, Romania, and Italy were the largest importers of Ukrainian sugar, accounting for 40.5%, 35.1%, and 17.3% of exports respectively. The total sugar exported in January 2022 was 1.3 thousand tons, an increase from 0.9 tons in January 2021. Lithuania, France, and Poland were the main exporters of sugar to Ukraine. Other sugars imported to Ukraine in January 2022 totaled 2.7 thousand tons, while 3 thousand tons were exported. Hungary and Poland were the largest importers of molasses from Ukraine, accounting for 95.4% and 4.5% of exports respectively.
