$25 million Egyptian dates exports to Indonesia in 2021

The Export Council for Food Industries announced that Egyptian dates exports in 2021 amounted to 52 million dollars, achieving a growth rate of 21% compared to the exports of 2020 amounting to 43 million dollars. Indonesia also occupied the list of the most important importing countries for Egyptian dates in 2021, with a value of 25 million dollars, representing 47% of the total exports, followed by the sister country of Morocco, with a value of 20 million dollars, representing 38% of the total exports, and Malaysia with a value of 3 million dollars, representing 5% of the total exports. The number of countries importing Egyptian dates in 2021 was about 59. The Export Council participated in the Fifth International Festival of Dates in Siwa Oasis from January 22-24, 2022 under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
