On November 9, 2021, 16 tons of Chunhyanggol pears from Namwon, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea, were exported to Taiwan, with an additional 33 tons expected to follow on November 12. These pears are a declared breed, grown in an export-specialized production complex, and selected using a state-of-the-art sugar content meter. Previously, Namwon City had exported Wonhwang and 32 golden pears to Taiwan in September. The total Chunhyanggol pear export volume to Taiwan for this year is 81 tons, nearly doubling last year's figure, despite the reduced harvest due to adverse weather conditions.
