The Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters' Association has seen a significant increase in exports, rising from 110 million dollars in July 2021 to 132 million dollars in July 2022. The total exports for the past year reached 1.5 billion dollars, surpassing the 2023 target of 3.5 billion dollars. The association aims to further increase its exports to 4.2 billion dollars by the end of 2023. The exports were led by sea bass, sea bream, tuna, and trout, with the United Kingdom, Italy, and the Netherlands being the primary markets. Poultry exports also saw a significant increase of 139 percent. The association aims to reach a target of 10 billion foreign currency by continuously increasing its exports until 2035.
