Turkey's milk and dairy exports have seen a significant increase in 2021, reaching $500 million with a 45.7% surge, largely due to the pandemic's disruption of supply chains and the availability of Turkish products. The North African market, especially Egypt, Iraq, and Algeria, played a key role in this growth. In the first two months of 2022, exports to these countries continued to grow, with a total of $95.6 million. The sector aims to further increase exports in 2022. The rise in dairy exports is attributed to the availability of Turkish products, lower prices of raw milk, and challenges in logistics due to the pandemic.
