The Navy and the Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development of Mexico are encouraging the public to report any illegal activities related to maritime resources. In collaboration with the National Aquaculture and Fisheries Commission, they have conducted operations leading to the retrieval of unlawfully possessed seafood products and vessels. These operations resulted in the temporary seizure of over 1.2 tonnes of seafood, including shellfish, without the necessary permits, from locations such as Tijuana and Ensenada. Additionally, a boat with 52 live lobsters was also detained for lacking the necessary permit. The authorities are emphasizing the need for the sustainable use of maritime resources and are urging the public to report any illegal activities to support this initiative.
