The Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association reported a significant performance in Turkey's fresh fruit and vegetable exports, reaching $239.2 million in October. The sector is focusing on increasing market diversity and quality, with the Commonwealth of Independent States being the leading market, followed by the European Union and Middle East. The industry participated in domestic and international fairs, including the Fruit Attraction in Madrid, and met with procurement committees from 44 countries in Antalya. The most exported products in October were mandarin, grapes, and lemons, with Russia, Germany, and Ukraine being the highest-exporting markets. From January to October 2022, total exports reached $2,182 million, with the sector's exports contributing $968.4 million.
