"The noticeable growth in the import of nitrogen fertilizers compensated for the significant failure in the import volumes of NPK. The situation was largely saved by the import of carbamide from Nigeria and sulfate from China. While in December traders expected increased competition and complained about the excess supply, by March there was a radical change—prices rose almost twofold, and there was not enough product," explained the experts. Indeed, the import of nitrogen fertilizers (N) amounted to 693 thousand tons, potassium fertilizers (K) were imported to Ukraine in the amount of 27 thousand tons, and phosphorus (P) fertilizers—12 thousand tons.
