São Paulo, 10/16/2025 - The Weekly Consumer Price Index (IPC-S) decelerated to 0.45% in the second four-week period of October, following a rise of 0.63% in the previous four-week period. With this, the index accumulates a rise of 3.93% over the last 12 months. The information was recently released by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
In this survey, four out of the eight analyzed groups decelerated from the first to the second four-week period of October, with the largest deceleration coming from Housing (1.62% to 1.04%). Following are Education, Reading and Recreation (2.13% to 1.07%), Transportation (0.40% to 0.37%), and Health and Personal Care (0.05% to 0.03%).
In contrast, there were advances in Miscellaneous Expenses (-0.13% to 0.16%), Food (-0.05% to 0.04%), Clothing (0.14% to 0.43%), and Communication (0.07% to 0.21%).
