By Daniela Amorim Rio, 04/15/2026 - The 3.21% increase in iron ore led the ranking of the greatest pressures on wholesale inflation within the General Price Index - 10 (IGP-10) for April, reported the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV). Also featured in the list of greatest impacts were cattle (2.99%), raw milk (6.40%), fertilizers (6.88%), and eggs (12.40%). In the opposite direction, in the ranking of the main reliefs were biodiesel (-5.78%), poultry (-2.41%), cassava/manioc (-3.94%), hot-rolled carbon steel coils (-3.38%), and apples (-16.37%). The IGP-10 went from a reduction of 0.24% in March to an increase of 2.94% in April. The Broad Producer Price Index (IPA-10) went from a drop of 0.39% in March to a rise of 3.81% in April.
