Raised in one of the most traditional families in the municipality, Pilau grew up amidst the agricultural development of Giruá—a city that consolidated itself with the productive strength of the countryside and the installation of industrial initiatives such as Refinasul SA, a benchmark in the refining of vegetable oils since 1966.
