Víctor Themtham (47) was born in General Acha, La Pampa, and studied for a degree in agricultural management, although he did not complete his thesis. Today he lives in "Campo La 17", rented, in the area of Miguel Riglos, 80 kilometers southeast of Santa Rosa. In several rented fields and one of his own, he continues to develop the cattle ranching that his father started. One of the fields he rents, in Chacharramendi, is all forest and there he has a breeding rodeo. Two months ago he bought a field from relatives, in Puelches, also forested and very rugged, in the south-central part of the province. He says that on it he manages to produce one cow per 15 hectares. Víctor recounts that his father had breeding cows and rented a league, which would be about 2500 hectares of forest.
