The Rural Development Administration in South Korea has conducted a quality analysis of seven new domestic strawberry varieties, including 'Arihyang', 'Gumsil', 'King's Berry', 'Vitaberry', and 'Jukhyang', and found that they have high export potential due to their sweetness and vitamin C content. To maintain their freshness and uniqueness, these varieties require advanced quality control technology after harvesting. The administration plans to apply its self-developed technology for maintaining the freshness of exported strawberries to 'Geumsil', which has received positive feedback from importing countries for its quality and freshness. This technology involves pre-cooling, complex processing, and MA packaging. The application of this technology is expected to expand the export route for these strawberries not only in Southeast Asia but also overseas.
