Turkey: Frozen fruits from Afyonkarahisar exported to 30 countries

At the facility located in Sultandağı district of Afyonkarahisar, the fruits produced in many provinces of Turkey are processed, frozen and exported to 30 countries in Europe, Asia and America. Hasan Dönmez, the manager of the business in Yeşilçiftlik town of the district, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that seasonal fruits such as cherries, strawberries, sour cherries, blackberries and figs, which are grown in many provinces in addition to Afyonkarahisar, are processed as frozen food in their facilities. Stating that the processed products are exported to 30 countries in Europe, Asia and America, Dönmez said: "Frozen fruits are consumed in different ways. These are ready-to-eat products. In general, our frozen foods attract great attention. This demand is increasing all over the world. We export intensively to Germany, England, Netherlands, Switzerland, China and Japan, especially to the USA.
