Italy's fruit and vegetable exports have seen a positive trend in the first nine months of 2021, with a 12.1% increase in value and a 5.4% increase in quantity. The value of exports reached nearly 3.8 billion euros and the quantity reached about 2.7 million tons. The main segments including fresh fruit, dried fruit, legumes, and vegetables saw recovery. However, there are concerns about the situation of uncertainty linked to the sharp increase in material, service, energy, and logistics costs.
